Pentecost was a Jewish festival that became the birth of the Church. However, this was not a one-time event - it was the beginning of a Spirit-filled movement. The Spirit came suddenly, like a rushing wind, signifying God’s presence and power, and that same power that fell on the early Church is available to us today.
