Make Us a House of Prayer

Jesus is our model: He regularly retreated from the responsibilities and expectations of life to be with the Father, but prayer doesn’t begin and end with Jesus. It was and is a way of life for the people of God, through which we engage with the mission of God, ‘on earth as is in heaven’. Throughout the scriptures, we read of all sorts of people, in all sorts of circumstances – individuals and communities – talking with God, waiting on Him and prayerfully putting their faith into action.
